As followers of Jesus Christ, our aim is to please Him in everything that we do. We should be zealous for God and zealous to serve Jesus. In today’s episode, we will examine the Apostle Paul’s zealousness and discuss how we can learn to be zealous for the Lord.
Acts 22:3 NLT
“I became very zealous to honor God in everything I did, just like all of you today.”
As a Christian, I have seen a transformation as I live out my Christian walk. As I grow in the Lord, I am more zealous to please God in everything I do. As a young believer, I was enthusiastic to serve the Lord, but only on Sundays. But as I have grown in my faith, I took baby steps to grow closer to the Lord. For each step I took, I became zealous to serve the Lord seven days a week, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. Maybe you’re asking yourself, how did he get to that place where he is zealous for the Lord? If you are at that place of wanting to become zealous to honor God in everything that you do, then you came to the right place. In this chapter, we will look at the Apostle Paul’s zeal and how he took steps to become zealous to honor the Lord in everything he did. Before, Paul aimed to please God, but his zealousness was misdirected. After he had met the Lord on the Damascus Road, the Lord redirected his zeal, and the great Apostle Paul walked with a new zeal, a righteous zeal. What I admire about Paul is his zealousness to please the Lord. I’ve wondered how Paul became zealous for the Lord. How did Paul cultivate a zealous behavior to please God? As we study the Apostle’s life, we will soon learn how to develop a zealousness to please the Lord.
In this podcast episode, we will continue to look at zeal in action. How do you cultivate zeal? How does zeal get redirected when misdirected? Tune in to hear more about walking with zeal for Jesus!
