Anticipating what 2026 will bring.

By Jason Sykora

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. (Ephesians 3:20 NLT)” The Lord certainly accomplished more through Abiding in the Faith Ministries during 2025 than I imagined.

When the Lord placed it on my heart to use my gift of teaching to launch the Abiding in the Faith podcast 5 years ago, I had no idea how God would use this ministry for his glory.

Abiding in the Faith Ministries experienced significant growth during 2025. The ministry expanded its outreach by adding video content to the Abiding in the Faith podcast and launching a dedicated YouTube channel. The podcast has attracted an increasing number of listeners across platforms such as Spotify, with audiences engaging through various major podcast providers. Followers of Jesus Christ have used these resources to deepen their spiritual journey, while individuals seeking to learn more about faith have explored messages and information on God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Additionally, many visitors have accessed the ministry’s blogs and visited abidinginthefaith.org to gain further insight into its mission and activities.

A huge thank you to everyone who has tuned into the podcast over the last year.

With 2025 over and 2026 beginning, I look forward to new ministry opportunities in the year ahead.

The year commenced with both an inquiry and a quote. The inquiry posed was: “How can one determine if they are loving God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength?”

I pondered that question and read the verses from Mark 12:29-31 where Jesus was responding to a religious leader in Israel. “Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’The second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”

I replied to the inquiry, saying that my devotion to the Lord motivates me to continue growing in faithfulness and to show my love for him through my actions. My goal is to remain as faithful as possible.

I concluded my final message of 2025 with a two-part installment in the “Strengthening Your Walk” discipleship series on Psalm 119, entitled “Crafted for Faithfulness.” As I plan for 2026, I am considering an overarching theme, with faithfulness to God remaining a primary focus.

The quote came from pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie. Greg Laurie spoke about how our job is to be faithful to Jesus through our actions, while the outcomes are left to God. He said, “When we reach heaven, the Lord won’t tell us, ‘Well done, good and successful servant,’ but rather, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.’”

In 2026, I intend to uphold my commitment to the mission entrusted to me by God. My goal is to continue teaching the word of God through Abiding in the Faith Ministries and to remain diligent and faithful in every opportunity that arises.

The theme for Abiding in the Faith Ministries in 2026 will focus on cultivating greater faithfulness to the Lord through wholehearted devotion and on enhancing our ability to love and serve our neighbors more effectively.

As 2026 begins, I intend to pause the Psalm 119 series to focus on an in-depth exploration of Mark 12:29-31. This upcoming podcast series will examine the practical implications of loving God with all one’s heart, soul, mind, and strength, and will conclude with a discussion on what it means to love one’s neighbor.

Tune in to the first 2026 podcast episode as I discuss Mark 12:29-31 in our “Valued” series. We’ll return to Psalm 119 once the mini-series on Mark 12 concludes.
