The Bible is full of inspiring individuals who have displayed great faithfulness in God. We read about Abraham’s faithfulness when he left Haran for the land God would show him. Joseph demonstrated faithfulness when he trusted in God’s ultimate plan for his life as he was sold into slavery until his rise to a position of power in Egypt. Moses demonstrated faithfulness to God as he obeyed the word of the Lord and led the Israelites out of Egypt through the wilderness. These individuals and many others were faithful to God throughout their lives.

What does it mean to be faithful? Let’s begin with the definition of faithfulness. According to Merriam-Webster, faithfulness means to be steadfast in affection by being loyal to someone. The word also means to be firm in adherence to promises or duty.

When we are faithful to God, we are firm in our adherence and are loyal to Him as we walk along the path of obedience. Walking with God faithfully requires us to be in regular steps with God and to keep a steady in-sync pace with him by walking in his ways. God desires the Christian to live a faithful life in obedience to him.
